Charity Evening in Aid of Cancer Research - 14 March 2009

OK Corral

The Wild West Legends Living History & Re-Enactment Society Re-creates the most famous gun fight of all. The scene was set of that of October 1881, in the Town of Tombstone, Arizona, witnessed the most notorious shoot-out in the history of the West. In a vacant lot at the rear of the O.K. Corral, City Marshal Virgil Earp and his brothers Wyatt and Morgan, joined by gambler friend Doc Holliday exchanged gunfire with four local cowboys, the Clantons and McLaury brothers.

The charity evening was in aid of Cancer Research UK Relay for Life Darlington.

The Legends put a re-enactment on of the shoot out of the O.K. Corral for all guests and for the Cancer Research UK Relay for Life Team from Darlington.

The evening was a VERY BIG SUCCESS as the Legends made a grand total of £1000.00

Many thanks go to the members of the Wild West Legends for their hard work not just for putting a great show on but on the many weeks of rehearsals they attended, Also We would like to thank the Chairman and the bar staff of the Sacrison Workingmen's Club in Durham for allowing the event to take place, The Lariat CWC for the donation of £200.00 many, many, thanks to you all to a Mr Evans for his donation of £100.00 and to the Buckaroo's Re-enactment Society for helping out, to the Tombstone CWC for the use of their flags and other props, But most of all I take my hat of to all of the kind hearted western folk who came to show their support many thanks for a FANTASTIC EVENING.
